TuffWrap Celebrates 25 years of Temporary Containment Protection on the Jobsite! It all started when TuffWrap’s President and Founder Dave Campbell needed to solve a roofing contractor’s problem of keeping dust and debris from contaminating a workspace while roofers worked above. The TuffWrap crew installed a temporary ceiling made from a sheet of polyethylene suspended below the roof deck to capture dust and debris that might drop from above during the reroofing project. The temporary suspended ceiling below the rafters worked well. Dave’s ingenuity shaped the creation of TuffWrap’s signature Suspended Cover SmartSeam®.
The 1st Interior Protection Job by TuffWrap
In 1999, David/Randall Associates, a picture frame manufacturer, needed to keep their facility operational while working on the roof overhead. TuffWrap successfully installed its first SmartSeam® Temporary Suspended Ceiling for the duration of the reroofing of the 40,000 sq. ft. building.
Today, the SmartSeam® Suspended Cover System continues to exceed industry expectations. SmartSeam® is the only suspended cover product and installation method specifically developed and approved for temporary interior protection installed beneath the automatic sprinklers to mitigate dust and debris.
Over the last two and a half decades TuffWrap Installations has completed approximately 15 thousand interior and exterior protection jobs and manufactured and installed approximately 375 million square feet of protection.
Designed all in-house, we continue innovating new products while developing existing ones. We are adamant about product code compliance. TuffWrap works with IAPMO in setting code compliance standards for the industry. We continually adhere to these standards while developing our products to ensure safety and protect against liability.

When the Going Got Tuff…
TuffWrap installed the Smart Seam Suspended Cover System at Rouses Markets during a Roofing Project.
Recently, a Rouses’ supermarket in Louisiana required a new roof. A solution was needed so that the store could stay open throughout the reroofing project. The store needed to maintain a clean environment throughout construction while providing a safe and comfortable space for employees and customers.
