TuffWrap® Installations played a crucial role in keeping the Louisville Bedding Company, the largest manufacturer of mattress pads, toppers, and one of the top bed pillow producers, fully operational during a major reroofing project. The facility, built in the 1970s, required the removal of two previous roofs before
installing a new one, which was expected to generate significant dust and debris.
To ensure the safety of employees and protect the products being made, the company turned to TuffWrap® for effective containment of dust, debris, and contaminants throughout the project.
The primary focus of the reroofing project was to prevent dust and debris from entering the company’s storage and production areas and potentially damaging sensitive bedding products. There were concerns about dirt and debris staining the product and getting into some of the equipment as well. Louisville Bedding’s day-to-day operations were expected to continue without interruption.
In addition, installation work needed to be completed within eleven (11) consecutive nights, a 10-hour shift schedule. To protect all aspects of the facility, several key concerns were addressed.
TuffWrap® utilized their SmartSeam® Suspended Cover system to protect the facility, ensuring that the reroofing project commenced ahead of schedule. The Louisville Bedding Company remained fully operational throughout the project, with all equipment, products, and personnel safeguarded from dust, debris, and weather.
